Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about setting up an event, collecting measurements, following up with guests, and handing information to a tailor.
Getting Started
What is asemble and who is it for?
asemble is a web tool for hosts coordinating aso ẹbi and other group outfits. It keeps guest groups, fabric or color direction, requested measurements, external payment details, reminders, and export status connected to one event.
Do guests need the app or an account?
No app download is required. Guests open the event link in a browser and identify themselves with the phone number or email address the host used. A full profile is optional for event participation.
How do I create and share an event?
Sign in, create an event, add the outfit groups and guest list, then publish when the brief is ready. asemble gives you an event link to share. Invitations can also be sent through supported event communication options.
Measurements
How do measurements and units work?
Hosts choose the measurement fields needed for each outfit group. Guests enter each value using the unit shown in the event. The host should confirm the tailor’s preferred fields and units before collecting responses because measurement methods vary.
Can guests reuse measurements from an earlier event?
A guest with saved profile measurements can use them as a starting point when the same fields are requested. They should still review every value before submitting because bodies, garments, and tailor methods change.
Can a host enter measurements for a guest?
Yes. A host can add or update a guest’s measurements from the event workspace when the guest provides them another way. The host should confirm consent and accuracy before saving personal measurement data.
Payments
How do payments work?
Hosts can add external payment instructions, such as a bank transfer or another agreed method, and track each guest’s status in the event. Card payments are not currently presented as available in asemble.
Managing an Event
Can one event have different outfit groups?
Yes. You can create separate groups with their own colors, fabric notes, measurement fields, and guest assignments. This works for bridal parties, family sides, friends, children, and other event-specific groupings.
Can I import a guest list from CSV?
Yes. Hosts can import guest data from a CSV file and map supported columns during setup. Review the preview before confirming so names and contact details land in the correct fields.
What can I export or share with a tailor?
CSV export is available for event data. PDF export and secure tailor email links are paid features. Tailor links are created from an event export, expire, and can be revoked by the host. Send only the information the tailor needs.
How many automated reminders are included?
Free events include no automated reminders. Plus includes up to two reminders per guest, and Premium includes up to three. A 24-hour cooldown applies between automated reminders to the same guest.
Privacy and Support
How does asemble protect event and measurement data?
Event access is limited by account, guest identity, or purpose-specific links. asemble uses access controls and stores only the data needed to run the service. Hosts should request only necessary measurements and revoke tailor links when the handoff is complete.
Can support access my event?
Support does not receive open-ended access to your event. When troubleshooting requires event access, the host can create a time-limited support code. Access is scoped to the support task and logged.
What happens when I delete my account?
Deleting your account removes your profile and data for events you host. Minimized participation records may remain in another host’s event so that host can keep an accurate event record. Your account identity is removed from those retained records.
